Donate to Kim's Swim - Raising Funds for new Recreation & Cultural Centre

Inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope, Kim Magee plans to swim the circumference of Little Otter Lake this Sunday, August 27th, to help our community raise funds for the new WPS Recreation & Cultural Centre.

Kim requires knee surgery and has limited ability to walk. Medically, she is deemed too obese to qualify for the surgery, so she has been highly motivated to swim during the summer months to assist with her weight loss and healthy lifestyle goals. Kim is candid about her struggles with mental health, specifically depression, that contributed to weight gain during the isolation of COVID. She wants to help bring a six-lane pool to Parry Sound where residents throughout our area can get out together for healthy aquatic exercise and socialization.
