Notice of Consideration of Limited Exemption from Water and Sewer Servicing Fees for Affordable Housing Rental Units and to Allow for the Amortization or Deferral of Payments Beyond Building Permit Issuance
TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Parry Sound will consider an amendment to By-law 2015-6551 (as subsequently amended through By-law 2023-7352), being a by-law to govern water and wastewater services. The amendment will add provisions for exemption of water and sewer servicing fees for private sector rental housing projects with a minimum of ten (10) units and limited to the lesser of eleven (11) affordable housing units or 15% of the total number of rental housing units.
AND FURTHER that Council will consider amendments that will allow for the amortization or deferral of payments of Water and Sewer Servicing Fees to be paid at the rate in effect at the time of building permit issuance with interest applicable to those arrangements.
