You may have seen the new pedestrian traffic signs up at various locations along the Fitness Trail where pedestrian crossings are present.

Did you know that according to the Ontario Traffic Manual Book 15 "at uncontrolled crossings, drivers are not required to yield right-of-way to pedestrians and pedestrians must wait for a safe gap sufficient to fully cross the roadway or for vehicles to stop before crossing?"

Always remember to stay alert and wait for a safe moment to cross!
