Waubuno Beach Swim Program

Registration opens Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 10:00am 

Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Online registration is recommended to ensure that your application is processed as quickly as possible. In person and mailed registrations will be time stamped upon arrival and added to the queue.

Daily Sessions (DS) run everyday, Monday-Friday for two weeks: 

• DS 1: July 08-July 19
• DS 2: July 22-August 02
• DS 3: August 05-August 16 

Evening Sessions (ES) run on the identified days for four weeks:

• ES 1A: Monday/Wednesday: July 08-July 31
• ES 1B: Tuesday/Thursday: July 09-August 01
• ES 2A: Monday/Wednesday: August 05-August 28
• ES 2B: Tuesday/Thursday: August 06-August 29

**Swimming lessons take place RAIN OR SHINE. In the event that the weather is not appropriate for in water lessons- instructors will teach water safety and dry land training. 

Parent & Tot, Preschool, Swimmer 1 & 2:

• Resident Rate: $60.00
• Non-Resident Rate: $70.00 

Swimmer 3-Swimmer 9: 

• Resident Rate: $70.00
• Non-Resident Rate: $80.00

Recommended: Identify your child's Lifesaving Society Swimming Lesson Level in advance of registration day.

Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross may be available for the 2024 season. Please email our Aquatics Coordinator requesting to be added to our list to receive an email when details are confirmed.

Requests for Private Swimming Lessons opens Wednesday, May 22, 2024

Online requests will be reviewed as they are submitted. Our lifeguard team will work with families to secure private lessons on a first come, first served basis.

Private lesson schedules will be negotiated between the parent, and our Swim Instructor Team. Frequency and timing of private lessons will be dependent on Swim Instructor availability. 

Private lessons will include ten 30-minute classes 

**Private lessons are limited to one child per lesson. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Resident of the Town of Parry Sound: $180.00

Non resident of the Town of Parry Sound: $200.00

• Saturday, June 08, 2024 & Sunday, June 09, 2024: 8:00am-5:00pm: Waubuno Beach 
• Monday, June 10, 2024 (Near North District School Board PD Day): 8:00pm-5:00pm: Waubuno Beach 
• Friday, June 14, 2024: 5:30pm-9:30pm: Bobby Orr Community Centre 
• Saturday, June 15, 2024 & Sunday, June 16, 2024: 8:00am-5:00pm: Waubuno Beach 
• Sunday, June 23, 2024: 8:00am-5:00pm: Waubuno Beach 

**Participation in all eight dates is required. 

To participate in 2024 Zero to Hero: 

• Minimum 15 years old; and 
• Have an interest in Aquatics.

Become a Nationally Certified Lifeguard for $450.00!

Financial Incentive Program available for individuals who accept employment with the Town of Parry Sound Aquatics Team, and remain employed for the 2024 Aquatic Season.

Zero to Hero training takes place at the Bobby Orr Community Centre & Waubuno Beach. Wet suits/dry suits are encouraged. 

Zero to Hero registration is available online, or at the Town Office at 52 Seguin Street, Parry Sound.
