Dog Licence
Licensing Your Dog
Ensuring your dog is licensed gives you peace of mind. A dog licence enables the By-law Enforcement Department to contact you quickly and easily in the event that your dog wanders away from you or your property or is injured on the road.
How to Register Your Dog
The Animal Control By-law requires that all dogs over the age of 6 months be licensed. You need to complete a Dog License Application to register your dog.
You can register your pet in person at the Town Office or by mail (Municipal Office, 52 Seguin St, Parry Sound P2A 1B4). You may also contact the By-law Enforcement at 705-746-2413 to schedule a licensing appointment.
Online form coming soon.
In 2017 the Town of Parry Sound started a Lifetime Tag Program which allows residents to purchase their dog's tag once in it's lifetime. The fee for a Lifetime Tag is $50.00.
If you have a dog licence and your pet has passed away, you have moved or you no longer have the dog please let us know by emailing Administration so that we can update your dog licence record.
"One Free Ride" Program
As the Town's way of thanking the responsible pet owners who have licensed their pets, your dog will receive ONE FREE RIDE HOME when found at large for the first time.
