Canada Post Strike

Effective November 15, 2024, Canada Post operation have shut down and mail service has stopped, after Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and Canada Post failed to reach a negotiated settlement.

Please note the next water billing for flat rate customers will be November 20 and November 27.  Bills will be available at the Town office for pick up.  

Residents are still obligated to pay property tax and water/wastewater bills, as well as any fine/infractions, including court service fines and parking tickets, by the due date. To avoid late fees, interruptions, or delays, residents are encouraged to use alternative payment methods or delivery methods.

Sound of Winter Magic Community Decoration Challenge

The Town of Parry Sound invites you to join the Sound of Winter Magic Community Decoration Challenge! Get into the holiday spirit by decorating your home or business with winter holiday themes. This is a wonderful chance to express your community pride through dazzling displays of creativity, from festive lights to imaginative snow sculptures.

We're seeking original, creative, and festive exterior decorations that capture the essence of the holiday season. Consider:

  • Stringing lights on your home or business
  • Assembling a creative snowman family
  • Decorating window displays to enchant passersby

Registration Dates: November 24, 2024, to December 08, 2024

Contest Judging: December 09, 2024, 12 PM to December 19, 2024

Announcement of Winners: December 23, 2024

Winners of the Sound of Winter Magic will be decided by the community through online voting!  Voting will be open from December 09 at 12:00pm - December 19, 2024. 

Please note that only the top five entries for each category will advance to public voting.
